MoFi has released a new 5500 series of LTE router and it comes in several different models. Here is a look at the different models, pricing, and expected ship dates. The MOFI5500-5GXeLTE routers are 5G capable but most of the models only have a 4G modem included. If you want 5G you will need the EM9191 model.

MOFI5500 models:
MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM7411 $400
MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM7411-DUAL $550
MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM7690 $540
MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM9191-5G-SUB6 $650 to $800

*The EM9191 is the only 5G model at this time.

I just bought and received the Insty Connect at the end of April based on your recommendation in previous videos. I will be curious to see how the new MoFi models compares to the Insty Connect.

Would you make a video showing step by step set up or mofi 5500?

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the comparison against the Insty. From what I see the insty is designed to be mounted on an RV roof with a plastic bracket? This doesn't sound like something that will last.

What would be your recommendations for RV wifi for streaming TV? Mofi or Insty Connect?

Competition creates more choices than ever. Finally, the cell network providers are positioning to offer great choices. And now the device/router manufacturers appear to be creating even more options. The consumer can only benefit. And some of us have Starlink service without interruptions! All these options will serve to keep the pricing affordable.

Hello, I have a couple of questions. Will you do an indepth set-up guide of your unit? Also, I'm interested on the mofi5500 model 7690 since it has 5x carrier aggregation. Will you try to get this model as well?

I currently have the mofi 4500 and have for 2 years. Whole house use. With streaming TV most of the time. And occasionally gaming. Would the 5g 9191 be worth the extra money. My current speeds drop out and never see over 20mps

I’ve been searching for an answer to this question for a while and yet to understand. Question. Why on earth or 5G M2 modems so ridiculously expensive?

The category 20 4G model looks pretty good, is there a advantage over the insty connect 4G category 12 model? I'm still holding out for the 5G comparison once both companies have them out and they've been tested.

I just got my 5G version Mofi 5500 today. The GUI appears to have been updated. I really don't like the new version as you can't really play with the APN settings very much.

I was wondering if you could help me with an issue I have with my mofi4500 sim7. I always get horrible speeds throughout the day. The only time I get high speeds is after midnight. I I have the magenta unlimited plan with T-Mobile, so I don't know why my mofo struggles with speeds. My TTL is set to Linux 2-65 and still uses hotspot data. I hope you can help me.
