looks good sir ...im guessing you used glue bcc your installing in a method not recommended by manufacturer ?
i'd recommend not installing shoe molding ... nevertheless, looks a lot better than carpet for sure.
did you use a silicon caulk around the perimeter for expansion and contract of the flooring ?

My floors arent ply lined just floorboards ....

I have never done herringbone before. I tried to follow formula to get started. I failed terribly. Tried to copy exactly what you had done. I ended with one complete triangle and half of another .lots of waste. Fcuk nose what I did wrong. Try again tomorrow 😢
