Big XDefiant Fixes & When Can we Expect it to Release?

Yesterday we got a few updates regarding XDefiant and some of the big things they've managed to fix since the Beta so today, I wanted to share those updates as well as my thoughts on a potential release window for the game and/or another public Beta.

Really hoping the game does well. CoD needs competition so badly

They should launch in the middle of season one. It’s the lowest point for cod players usually there is no content and it becomes boring. I think this would be the ideal spot so you can try and grab most of these players to your game

Just watching this video, I'm struck by how bright and colourful everything is. Love that and the seemingly faster gameplay, can't wait for a chance to play this.

So sad they didn't mentioned anything about balancing specialists or inconsistent player health. Beta felt really inconsistent I hope they can fix the health based operators

I really hope we can get another beta too Ace, it would really help keep the game fresh in people's minds. That, and any big improvements over the previous beta would do wonders to market the game. Here's to hoping! It would be nice to see XDefiant roll out as a quality competitor to Call of Duty.

The best time to release XDefiant (if it's completely ready then) is like a month or two after the next COD. Everybody will have seen how broken the new COD is (let's be real) and if XDefiant releases in a GOOD state, soooo many people would switch.

I'm really looking forward for this game, as someone who's tired of the direction cod has been going and the bad design choices. Had a blast with XDefiant closed beta even in broken state. I'm hoping it releases before mwIII, Preferably an open beta this summer... Launch september-october.

I honestly think March would be the best time to release xDefiant. Thats about when people start burning out on CoD heavily and would be looking for something new.

I just hope Ubisoft is literally taking everything into consideration before launch. Also learned from both EA (BF2042) & Activision (past 4 cods) massive failures and don’t just jump feet first into the fire

As an avid cod player since cod4 I'll say this... even if it launches same day as cod I'll be grinding XDefiant before cod... cause in the end there is 0 chance cod is gonna do anything we've been asking for... I wish more people were willing to do the same so Activision can finally see how much money comes from long time fans and they can finally stop pandering to the new/casual players only

Latest they could possibly release it this year would be mid September, with AC launching in Mid October Ubisoft will want space and time to market that and CoD will be ramping up their marketing shortly afterwards.

Timeline will probably look like a beta in early July and release in late August early September, right around the 2 year mark of the game being announced

I still find it amazing that of all developers to create a game that rivals classic CoD its Ubisoft, the kings of open world slop games.

I believe a Feb-March release would work as by then a lot of people have COD fatigue and are tired of it, people are more than willing to jump ship at that point

Tbh i like how theres no set release date becuase that means they dont have to commit to it and they can delay when needed.

What a concept. Activision has been shitting on us for years and not listening to what we have to say. Imagine if xDefiant took the other approach and did everything we asked for? That would be real interesting.
