If your paint job looks ugly because it is peeling eroding delaminating and you don't have that extra money to repaint it try this till you do get it repainted. You have a shiny clear coat here then you got a dull hazy clear coat there, and you got an exposed color base coat there and that usually oxidizes pretty fast then you got edges where it's an ugly white crumbling edge where the clear coat is obviously peeling.

Step One: Use The Lukat Fix It Old Paint Cleaning Polisher to remove embedded oxidation, contamination, from off of the surface of your old auto paint job.

Thank you so much for this video. I was rear-ended thought I'd taken it to a reputable body shop they used no clear. I did try turtle wax headlight cleaner and it did just what you just did. So I'm going to find some of what you were using. And your right my 250 red. I lost all my pride in my truck hopefully now I can fix it or make it look good again. Thx.

Darker paint colors do less well in the sun, especially here in Florida. Its because darker colors absorb more heat.
Plus, darker paint colors show more dirt.

The problem with this is that the clear coat will just continue to peel pretty rapidly. It's a losing battle. Also most base coats are pretty thin so it doesn't take much to rub it off.

Got the product.. using it on an infiniti silver color.. it is truly amazing.. have not used the second bottle yet.. but the cleaner is amazing.. I started the feathering.. but the cleaner softens it and it kinda just disappears.. I recommend this product..

I'm glad I found this! My wife's Mitsubishi ASX has the rear spoiler on the roof peeling like crazy. Also on her mirror I see little bubbles? Almost like fish eyes? I've never seen anything like that. But it's over 20 years since I did a full restoration of an old car. Top job! I'm going to get some. Australian sun destroys everything. This is reasonable compared to a lot of videos I've seen. I have a 95 Chryslerwith black paint and destroyed clear coat. This seems to be a reasonable "fix" until I have $1, 500 for paint and body work.

Early 80s plastic coated cars were a thing until they started looking like they're shedding snake skin. Popular option at the time. My 2000 Ford Ranger looks horrible but I'm going to try this stuff & see what happens. The 2022 car I just bought has NO plastic coating!
