Before you sand it down and re clear it make sure you find the cause of the contamination first ! Dirty air dirty line or dirty panel or dirty gun something will definitely be contaminated if you have a whole panel of fish eyes

You are my new hero. I'm painting a couple guitar necks in lacquer, & lo & behold, a couple fisheyes right on the face of the headstock on one.
I already knew everything you said until you got to the razor blade trick. The tape on the blade was a revelation. This is the way

Razor blade is a great idea. We used blades for runs on aircraft paint jobs.

Thank you, just got a fresh paint job and noticed I have a few of them if I look closely. Going to do this myself to save some extra money!

I have never seen someone use a razor blade before. I always used a piece of sandpaper glued to a pencil eraser. I will be trying this in a few days, I am sure. Thanks

Nice job. I clear coat my driver side fender. At the first coat the clear cracked at the corner near the mirror what can cause that?
