Marilla's story is so tragic. It always makes me cry where she reads the letters John gave her, there's a lot of people who don't follow their hearts and regret their whole lives.

I love how these parallel stories of Marilla and Anne twist together over the Blythe men. Marilla a lost opportunity of love with Gilbert’s dad and Anne feeling a lost opportunity with Gilbert. I remember how John Blythe gave Marilla the blue ribbon and then selflessly she gave it to Anne. Anne wore that blue ribbon and it was though Gilbert sensed it and felt he was meant to be with Anne. That blue ribbon. One lost love one tragic love 💙. Thank you for this it is absolutely beautiful !
