I love their relationship. It’s so difficult for Marilla to say “I love you, too” so the way she replies “Forever and a day” you know she is saying “You’re my daughter and I love you more than anything”.

Marilla changed so much. Anne seemed to have really helped heal her and Matthew’s inner child through giving them the love (along with usual stresses, confusion and worries) of a child. Watching them become parents makes me tear up 😢
