Great video, as usual. I am a diagnostic & interventional radiologist who evaluates many patients after gallbladder surgery. I would also like to add that your biliary system gradually expands over time after the gallbladder is removed. This allows you to hold much more bile to accomodate your next fatty meal. The bile ducts can even contract in response to a meal, releasing a bolus of the bile juices. This effectively acts as a “secondary functional gallbladder” once adapted.

Wow this video was everything I’ve been looking for. I had my gallbladder removed about 10 years ago. Ever since I’ve had digestive issues that have really interferes with my daily life. After surgery I was basically sent home with no detailed information on how the surgery would affect me. Now 10 years later for the first time you taught me that there are supplements specifically for people like me!!! Thank you so

Thanks for posting this video! I had my gallbladder out in 1989 and recently began a low-carb diet working toward keto. I had some digestive issues. The diet has improved my sleep. I am about four years into menopause and one of the worst changes is an intractable insomnia, resulting in dramatic weight gain and gradual loss of a very active lifestyle. I also have congestive heart failure and an aortic prosthesis. At 58, I am extremely motivated to return to my healthy lifestyle of walking, cycling and being petite. What amazes me is the lack of nutritional knowledge amongst physicians. My former doctor wanted me to go on a plant-based diet with ZERO fats--he said olive oil would kill me, whereas my cardiologist said olive oil and eating a dozen eggs a week wouldn't hurt me. I was walking eight miles a day at the time. At any rate, I am glad you addressed the gallbladder issue because it helped me stay with it. Right now I'm eating around thirty-five to forty grams of met carbs a day, which seems to be about as low as I can go without GI issues. I need the fiber. I have watched a lot of your videos! They're great. I am thinking about doing your coaching program.

I had my gallbladder removed over 20 years ago . When I eat I know I will have to run to the bathroom with no warning in about30 to 60 minutes. But never new it was because of fat in my diet. Thank you now I can work with this info. Doctors never told me this and I have mentioned the bathroom problem to my doctor many times.

I had my gallbladder removed 15 years ago. I still do carnivore and it’s working very well. If you have gallstones, I am pretty sure you just want the pain to go away and your doc says it’s gotta come out. I’d look into other options to flush out the stones and prevent them by reducing sugars and simple carbs.
