Today we’re going to talk about the benefits of being on a high-fat diet. Initially, when you fast, you’re going to burn off your stored glycogen in your liver. When that’s gone, you’ll transition into burning your fat. But, this won’t happen unless you’re also on a low-carb diet. You never want to do both a high-carb and high-fat diet at the same time. 

Benefits of a high-fat diet:
• You’ll stimulate more bile production and more bile release 
• You’ll provide for the raw material of fat-soluble vitamins 
• You’ll provide for the omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) 
• Short-chain fatty acids (butyrate) 
• Medium-chain triglycerides (ketones) 
• Dietary fat can help increase your ability to make ketones (a more efficient fuel) 
• You’ll have the raw material for supplying necessary and essential compounds for your cell membranes, hormones, vitamin D, and bile

By watching your videos (& of course others’ but mostly yours) i got inspired to be on a Ketogenic Diet. I’m now on Day 13/14 & its been veeeery amazing (with discipline of course).
I know its still early days but I am now a 40yr old South African male with the confidence of my 20yr old self that i lost in my 30s!

Dr.Berg deserves his statue made in gold!! These days medical industries conceal everything from public but he's changed that completely and saved lives of millions of people like me. I'm 34 year old expat living in Chennai southern India I've never been to America my entire life so i wish to visit america one day and meet this amazing doctor personally and touch his feet to show my respect for him. I was someone who knew nothing about intermittent fasting or insulin resistance at all so being unaware n habitually food craving I used to eat a lot of ice creams, sweets, cakes multiple times a day because of which I gained lot of weight about 96 kg at 5'8 and I struggled to shed it but one day I happened to see Dr Berg's intermittent fasting video that changed me completely with regards to my diet especially made me very cautious towards sugar consumption ultimately i not just started following intermittent fasting with exercise but also cut down sugar completely because of which I'm in good shape at 80 kgs feeling gr8 preventing myself from diabetes risk.
Finally here on youtube there are few doctors who are absolutely jealous of doctor berg so they're making videos titled exposing doctor berg and in those videos they're calling him insulting names and mocking him so being a doctor berg admirer it really hurt me so I wish doctor berg uploads videos in response to those for the sake of his admirers like myself

I have been fasting on low carb vegan diet for many years and have started to get serious symptoms of vit B12 and D deficiency! Now I have introduced eggs and yogurt into my diet and I have gained a little weight, but I feel healthier and half of the symptoms are gone. Thanx dr. Beg.

Been eating a high fat (100 g fat) 2, 000 cal breakfast each morning and not eating until dinner. My energy has been great but more importantly my mind is so clear.

Interesting. Proponents of different diets such as Keto, Raw vegan (80/10/10), Vegan, Vegetarian, Carnivore, Omnivore — all tend to agree that fasting is food for us. If we think of fasting as of a high fat low carb diet (eating our stored fat), then Keto is the closest diet to fasting. And I think Keto and Fasting complement each other well.

I lost 30 lb on a keto diet but developed GI problems and had to see a specialist for it. I healed all my problems by switching to a high carb low-fat diet that is 70% carb 15% protein and 15% fat. In your video you mentioned that that diet is dangerous or no advantageous...why? It has been proven to help diabetics heal. And I have healed every health issue I had being on that diet. To clarify I am on a vegan high carb low fat diet. You also mentioned that glucose damages the body. How? Thank you!

My husband and I have been on keto for about 2 yrs. We have lost a lot of weight and feel great but my husband just had his cholesterol checked and the dr called this morning and said it’s very high. Everything else is good though even his blood pressure.

I recently tried a 3 day fast with just green tea and lemon, the effects are very strange, it's almost like your whole system has been flushed.

I've been told low fat for years with breast cancer in family. I don't know if they mean just "bad" fat but I wont eat bacon etc but stick with good oils and nuts. There is so much out there for both views it is so confusing.I have lost 20 lbs on low carb diet which I'm grateful for.
