In this video, Dr. Berg discussed the carnivore diet and how it conflicts with the recommended 7 to 10 cups of vegetables.

If you have bloating, constipation, SIBO, or any kind of digestive problems, you definitely don’t want to do a lot of vegetables. One of the benefits of a carnivore diet lowers insulin which could improve a lot of conditions.

Vegetable has Phytic Acid or IP6 is an anti-nutrient but it also has very powerful anti-cancer properties. Doing the carnivore diet will improve insulin sensitivity which is going to increase the absorption of all nutrients.

Dr. Berg you are not acknowledging the bio availability differences between plant and animal vitamins. I have a video comparing "Vegan" vs. "Carnivore" nutrients.

I also just did a video comparing popular animal foods on the carnivore diet

The carnivore diet got me away from the high oxalates I was getting from Vegetables. I was amazed how fast my arthritis in my toes and thumbs has improved. I was really suffering when trying to eat 7-10 cups of veggies a day. So glad I found Carnivore, it is a life saver for me.

Your comparison should include red meat, beef, lamb, goat, bison etc.

Why are you only comparing kale, chicken and fish?? Where's the beef??

The Carnivore Diet is an elimination diet. I used it for a couple of months and then slowly introduced vegetables, dairy and nuts back into my diet. I found out dairy inflamed me, spinach and almonds. The later two are high in Oxalates so I went on a low Oxalate diet. I feel much better now and my gut doesn't hurt.

Most carnivore diets are primarily beef based (rib eye) and they add organ meats along with tallow. I believe you know this as you have been in their pod casts yet your video only compares kale to chicken and fish?
Also sardines have more calcium than kale. You completely over looked sardines.

Very upset that you didn't compare beef...one of the MAIN foods on carnivore. You didn't compare bone broth, or eggs either. I don't see this as a fair comparison!!!!

As someone who spends alot of time outdoors, collecting wild edibles, I can guarantee you, even in the height of spring and summer, you will not find 7-8 cups of leafy greens a day, let alone for a group of humans. Most plants I consume outdoors in their primative form usually require leeching, cooking, or processing or they will kill you. Plants are something humans would eat opportunistically while trying to catch fish or game.
Honestly, practice bush craft, study and memorise natural edibles then go outdoors for 2 days trying to find them. Even after 4 years of doing this unless I come across maybe 2 cups at most even when I am spending all my time locating plants before heading back my camp at night.
Don't get me wrong, native edibles are probably some of the tastiest plants you will eat(sometimes dangerous if eaten too often), but meat, fish and sea food is going to be your vastly primary source of nutrients and calories.

Watch the TV series Alone, the contestants that lasted the longest in the wild were the ones who could obtain fish and meat. Even the ones who were very knowledgeable on plants starved until they quit or were pulled out.

Carnivores advocate that the vitamins and minerals in vegetables do not have the same bioavailiability as the ones in meat.

I love doing Carnivore which I just started about 1.5 months ago. I lost a little over 100 lbs just intermittent fasting before trying Carnivore but I was having enormous digestive issues that, though improved with the intermittent fasting, never went away and I couldn't figure out what exactly was causing the problem. I was afraid of Carnivore because I couldn't imagine my life without fruits/veggies but after reading so many success stories regarding how it cured digestive issues, I had to try, had to. The results have been absolutely amazing, amazing! All of my digestive issues have gone and it took less than a week and I had been suffering for YEARS!!! Nothing else came close. Weight is coming off again (I still have a bit more to go), I feel great, I mean really great! My cravings are totally gone and I don't even get hungry any more. I'm doing the rolling 72 hr fasts and it's so easy that I'm astonished!! I don't worry about calories or nutrients of any kind. I know, maybe I should, but I don't because even when I was eating fruits/veggies and taking vitamins every day, I didn't feel anywhere close to as good as I do now. So what is the truth? I don't know who to believe but I know what makes me feel great and it's the Carnivore diet so I'd be an idiot not to stick with it. If I should drop dead, I'll at least say I sure felt good up until I fell. I listen to the experts like the good Dr. here and others but if everything they say is right, why did I feel like crap? And now I feel fantastic and I'm 66 so it's not youth, lol! I'm staying with this until I either drop dead or I start not feeling well anymore. That sounds logical to me.

You should eat vegetables because if you don’t eat vegetables then you’re not eating vegetables. That’s kind of the point.

You’re not having moderate protein if you eat more protein. That’s also kind of the point

By most accounts beef liver is the most nutrient rich and dense food on earth. Carnivores don’t eat lean chicken. If you want to know why moderate protein is not the answer take a walk into any nursing home in America.

Right from the "get go", Dr Berg shows, once again, why he is the best! Instead of putting down an ideal or method other than his own, he's says, "Hey, give it a try and see if it works for you." . So refreshing and so different from almost everyone else! Thanks Dr Berg!

I'm currently trying out carnivore, continuing the OMAD route. Week 1 I felt amazing. Week 2 wasn't as good and had me questioning. Week 3 returned to good and I'm almost 4 weeks in. My mood has been great since I started, even surrounded by stress I feel pretty grounded. I've also noticed a significant drop in pressure required on my CPAP machine which had been averaging 11 but has now dropped to 8.3.

Who knows, maybe we're not even fully absorbing the nutrients in kale or other green vegetables...

and also...if it hadn't been for your videos, I never would've learned about the Keto diet and I probably wouldn't even be alive today. I had been getting sicker and sicker and having less and less energy. I'd been having brain fog and terrible ADD, unable to focus enough to accomplish anything. I had anxiety, depression, etc. Your videos have helped me SO much and I appreciate you taking the time to make them! I also had severe ridges across my thumbnail...deep grooves going across it, and even my regular doctor had no idea what caused them and told me it was nothing to worry about!! A video of yours that informed me that it was a B1 deficiency changed my life. I added B vitamins to my diet and guess what...my nails are perfectly normal now!! Thanks to you, I no longer have anxiety attacks, insomnia, nail deformities, ADD symptoms and I have now lost 36 pounds. I have no cravings for junk food or carbs at all. I have no desire whatsoever for fast food. I feel like I'm finally getting my life back! So, thank you so much!

A lambs heart has 22% of VitC needed, and 357% of B12. Could you do a similar video using beef as a comparison as most Carnivores eat more beef and never lean chicken breast etc, ? Thank you for this video though :)

Are carnivore macros are still like keto, but 0 carbs? Like 0/20/80, or 25/75? Or is it more like 60/40, 50/50? I'm on strict keto, but wan't to try a carnivore for week or two

I eat mostly meat and take the greens supplements by Dr. Berg. I feel great and the weight is just falling off. I also take the nutritional yeast since I am a gastric bypass patient (2001) and I take the gall gallbladder formula too. Not sure what diet you would call this but it is working for me and my husband. We have lost almost 80 lbs since November 2021 and we are in our late forties and early fifties. Thank you Dr. Berg! 🙏🏼❤️
