I have a lot of old Nintendo consoles and the GBC was among my favorites, it's small enough and feels way better than the original GB or the GBA SP IMO.

But all the GB variants go from 40-80€ (or more), so buying a DS and modding it seems like the better option, since they are about the same price range and you can play DS games and a lot of other systems with just an SD card (and depending on the chosen DS, a flash card).
Just don't buy a 3DS or 2DS, their prices are inflated by scalpers because modding them is getting popular. Although you could buy a broken one since replacement parts are quite cheap, but it requires a bit of skill and knowledge to repair.

Bro instead of getting a game boy color game boy advance it’s more comfortable to hold the screen is way bigger and the buttons feel a lot nicer and you can also play original game boy games and it’s on game boy advance cartridges so I Think that a game boy advance is better than a game boy color

Oh that’s the Aussie release Pokémon edition! I have the same one, but my faceplate has a meowth on it now cos I replaced it and didn’t notice the difference 😂
