Leighton Flowers will often point out that if Calvinism is true, then even his rejection of Calvinism has been ordained by God. In this video he explains the different ways that Calvinists like James White and french philospher Guillaume Bignon respond to this critique.

I have had multiple Calvinist insist that Calvin taught free will. Calvinists don’t understand orthodox Calvinism.

These are completely false dilemmas in Calvinist theology and are answered very simply in scripture

Genesis 50:20
English Standard Version
20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people[a] should be kept alive, as they are today.

God uses our sinful intentions for His good intentions So if He ordains Sin for a ultimately good purpose then it is Good

Also to say that God ordained you to have bad theology so we shouldn’t judge or be mad at you?that is just stopping short in your reasoning we don’t know that God has ordained you to have that theology for the rest of your life He may have ordained us to convert you to the truth at a later date..people that criticize Calvinist theology always seem to forget we don’t know the future..we don’t know who is elect or who may come to faith later..God is outside of time we are not though He has predestined every detail we have no idea what these details are until they come to pass..so we just simply treat everyone as if they are elect preach the Gospel and pray to God He changes the the hearts of sinners and opens the eyes of the blind…no beef on my end just thought I’d clear that up..blessings on you brothers!

Proverbs 16 :33

The lot is cast into the lap, But its 👉every👈 decision is from the LORD

O:33 Leighton says "If determinism is true, then i have been determined to believe it is not true."
I believe that of all the things Leighton has taught, this is possibly the first time I agree with him. He has indeed been determined not to believe in Divine Determinism and determined by God to believe in Self Determinism.
👏 👏. Finally getting it. Praise God

I've used Calvinists own teachings to justify whatever I want.

Do you want to justify whatever choice you make? Just say you did it according to the irresistible will of God.

Do you want to end the conversation going nowhere?

Just say God has predestined you to ignore them, according to the good pleasure of God's Will to glorify himself.

Calvinism supposes that people were chosen for mysterious reasons, unknown to us, and based on nothing about us. But, since they push the line that God must be maximally glorified, and this world is based on bringing Him maximum glory, then you can also conclude that people were chosen based on who would bring the most glory to God. If people were chosen because saving them would bring more glory to God than damning them, then grace is not free, it is conditioned on the glory requirement of God. If it is not open to all, it is not free, it is completely conditional.

Jordan, I just watched this again and you had sent me a text today saying that this is a topic you would like to talk with me about. I would like too do that. I was going to type a comment here but I wont. Let me know if and when your schedule permits. 😁

Well if you were presented arguments on the contrary and you had reason to change your views, that was determined by God. God can use mechanisms and instruments to change minds and lives. He did that with Paul. Paul was determined to be a persecutor of Christians and he used different means to change his mind.

God did. Because of what John said in 1st John.

At the start of the video Leighton said "Either am right about this and determinism isn't true or God has determined me to believe this."
You stated this in support of Leighton's statement: if your position(determinism) is actually true and you complain about me criticing it, you are complaining against God's sovereign purpose of me refuting Calvinism.

Guys, this is NOT a good argument against determinism. If God determined you to believe a lie and to teach a lie, that doesn't mean one shouldn't try to enlighten you to the truth. To not attempt to do so would be to assume God's purpose behind blinding you to the truth.

Just because God determined it to rain doesn't mean I should not use an umbrella, or if I am driving, it doesn't mean I shouldn't use my windshield wipers. Just because God determined that there be a famine in the land doesn't mean people shouldn't go scavenge for food and water.
Unless it is revealed, you cannot presume to know the specific and immediate purpose behind what God has determined. Ultimately speaking, all will work out for good, but in the relative we must act as the situation calls for.
It is God who makes the blind, yet He sent His son to open their eyes that they may see. With your faulty logic, you would say, why heal that blind man when it was God who determined that he would be blind? Do you see the issue there?

So to say "I can't be wrong because God determined me to be a non determinist" (not you or Leighton's quote, just an example), is a bad argument.

There are reasons that he allows us to have faulty thinking. He determined everything including my incorrect thoughts but not for them to be incorrect for eternity. Your argument would have to be that if God’s not allowed to determine something unless it is for us to be perfect. He determined me to have imperfect hearing and poor vision as well… it doesn’t mean there aren’t reasons for it. Debate Bignon. I think he’s got the score at 1-0 right now after your back and forth with him several years ago..I would love to see another back and forth or a moderated debate with him. I’ll give you both money to let me see that!

Very good video. ❤️ LF. Personally, I see a different spirit in the details of hmm, let's just say the purveyors of sketchy doctrine/those who conform scripture to fit their beliefs. Any, all, everyone, anyman, whosoever, the world & nations always means Calvinism's randomly pre-chosen elect?
