Dr. Wensel and Jen both understand the bioscience behind what his is saying. More importantly, they can measure via lab tests where we are and where Optimal is vs sub-optimal. If we are low optimally in any of these markers, we will pay the price with a less than optimal "lower" mind-set and chronic diseases. Interesting too is that we can measure our biological age vs. our chronological age. Of course, we want to be biologically younger and free of chronic diseases. Great set of videos here.

I really appreciate the information you put in your videos. Thank you. I’m wondering if you would consider doing a video that addresses the potential negative effects/risks associate with TRT? As a 59 year old male who is extremely active physically—I weight train, run, cycle and walk, I am concerned about exogenous hormone treatment, particularly wrt to increased risk of venous and arterial thrombosis and CVD in general. Anything that messes around with the natural functioning of my body scares me—particularly the endocrine system where it seems the risk is high that the body will not be able to produce and regulate testosterone if I start TRT. I am also very concerned about the risks to cholesterol levels, blood pressure, thrombosis and cancer. I find there is a lot of hype about TRT being a magic pill (shot) that counters the many lifestyle influenced physiological limitations experienced by aging men, but very little discussion of the scientific evidence of its long term safety. I have no doubt taking testosterone will lead to gym workouts that more closely resemble the results I got in my 30s. But, I’m not in my 30s—I am almost 60. Please consider doing a video or videos that address these concerns. Thanks.
