Study site shares results for testosterone replacement safety in men

A growing number of men are using testosterone replacement therapy, but experts caution little is known about how it impacts their health, specifically the heart. The FDA required the makers of testosterone therapies to conduct safety trials, and Thursday night, one of the study sites is sharing those results.

Blood clots are only occurring in men on TRT because they haven't been managed properly by their healthcare provider. I inject at home with 200mg of testosterone cypionate per week and get a blood test once per month at the clinic. If my hermatocrit (blood viscosity ) gets too high the clinic simply drains some blood off right then and this only takes them about 5 minutes. FYI, I am 67 years old, still am able to workout hard, and feel absolutely fantastic with plenty of energy. Quality of life is everything to me and I'm sure it is to most everyone else too.

Been on TRT for eight years since age 51. Level was at 150 to start now run 600s. Only side effect seems to be high blood pressure which is treated by GP. My experience has been positive and I hope to be on treatment for the rest of my life.

The doctor mentioned the only issue was a small number with clots in the legs and nothing else, but the reporter just had to mention things in the end that thr doctor said nothing about. Thr reason the doctor didn't mention them is because the others things either didn't happen or the the percentage of people showing those symptoms more than likely just naturally had the those symptoms and it couldn't be proven it was from tge hormone we naturally produced

Because the testosterone gel/Androgel is the most weakest form of testosterone.
I speak from experience. As a Cancer survivor. Had Cancer in my right testicle. And it had to be removed.
Testosterone Gel doesn't help. Not strong enough.
It's sad that bodybuilders, Teenagers, and Hollywood actors can easily get Real Anabolic steroids.
But the people who suffer and need them the most, to function.
Cannot get any.
It's truly a cruel world we live in.

I tried it for a year, didn’t really care for it. I didn’t feel much different, it made me feel worse if anything. Heavier breathing, heart felt worse. Muscle mass didn’t get any better. You have donate your blood probably once a month so the blood doesn’t get thick. Make sure they give you the injection not the cream.

First I would question the usage of gel over injection which I find totally flawed from the start. Second, why nobody mentiones the risk of having too low testosterone? It's not like low T is not causing health risk. What type of study is this using gel? Wth?

These are the results that I actually expected with the TRT gel But if this study was done with intramuscular TRT, then I would expect different results such as thickening of the blood

Shouldn’t the force the makers of TRT treatments to pay for independent studies, rather than make THEM do the studies?

Before testosterone 7 months ago my count was around 200 now around 1200 I have the pellets inserted. It last for 6 months and I feel much better and not tired all the time. I just got the 2nd one done for the next 6 months. I'm 65 and not doing this to bulk up or have more sex, just feel better. Maybe I'll start going to the gym now that I feel better. If you need it get it. Have a blood test see what your counts are. AND if anyone was wondering even at a count of 200 I still had a sex drive Its no different now I just don't feel tired all the time.

All I've ever heard was positive things from hormone therapy for people who've used it. You never know. Some things work for some. Some things do not. Unfortunately in the end, things can be REALLY bad.

My father was given testosterone injections at 75 yr old. He then had a stroke and was diagnosed with Afib .
