Thank you so very much. My right injured shoulder needs a break from planks and downward dog, and this class is perfect. It was very challenging, and didn't use my shoulder! Thank you, thank you!

This is the most challenging yoga session I’ve ever done that didn’t include intermediate or advanced postures. I’ve done it 5 times now and I still feel like I’m going to throw up halfway through but by the end I’m both exhausted and invigorated at the same time and the wanting to puke feeling is all gone :)

Btw I am not the kind of person who likes pushing myself hard in exercise or wants yoga to be hard like power or hot yoga. But I have a hip and a shoulder injury. I did this the first time intrigued by the idea of being able to do yoga without having to worry about my shoulder but the reason I keep doing it is for my hip because I find physio exercises boring and so truthfully don’t do them but this session is like physio for my hip. Lots of ppl think hip problems mean you need to be more flexible but it’s not true for everyone. For me I need strength and stamina; because I don’t have normal capacity for strength in my bad hip it’s very easy to overstretch which just makes it worse.

But it is also nice to be physically challenged like this because in all my years doing yoga the only time I’ve felt challenged is with teachers that treat yoga like a workout class and that doesn’t appeal to me. A big part about why I like yoga - and why it’s the only exercise I’ve kept with for this long (14 years) - and why I don’t feel like I need to push myself further than my body is comfortable with just to get to advanced poses - is that it is a kind of moving meditation. You’ve managed to keep that feel with this session while making it a real challenge. I would love if you did more arms free classes at some point!

Also Charlie I’ve spent the whole pandemic trying to find a yoga teacher on YouTube that I like. I wish I had found you sooner! Your classes have enough instruction to follow along, but not too much that I find myself looking constantly to see what you are trying to get us to do. This is my complaint for many on YouTube. It’s incredibly distracting. Also you are so genuine! I get really tired of the “yogis” who seem to be all about either looking good while they are doing yoga or passively brag about whatever tropical country they are filming this video in.

I feel like I’ve finally found a real yoga instructor to follow. Thank you and please keep it up! I know you don’t have hundreds of thousands of subscribers like some flashier channels but what you are doing here has made a difference in the lives of at least a few people and I am one of them. I’ve started doing your videos exclusively in the last 2 weeks and they are such a pleasure. Thank you thank you thank you again!

Dealing with a shoulder injury and getting desperate for some movement. My usual outlets are off limits, so this turned my day around. Thank you!!

Doing yoga without hands involvement is definitely more challenging. Thanks for the video charlie. Absolutely love it.

Thank you for this practice! I really appreciate it as it is hard to find a yoga practice I can do with a shoulder injury. I especially appreciate that it is still challenging even without any downward dogs or plank poses.

Another amazing hands free practice. So challenging, my leg muscles were vibrating at times. So thankful to be able to continue my practices even with an upper body injury. Thanks Charlie 😊

Thank you! I have a bunch of full and partial rotator cuff tears in my right shoulder, and have very limited mobility in that shoulder and arm. Doing PT at home while waiting for surgery (many months down the road), and I have been trying to adapt my yoga for my needs. This is so right!
