The transition from sadness to absolute joy was brilliant

I remember staying up for 26 hours straight - got 94% complete in Shadows of Mordor then had to go to class ... To this day... that remaining 6% still haunts me

100 percenting is best reserved for story-focused single player games in my experience. You get the satisfaction of exploring every corner and detail of the game, and everything ties neatly into the narrative. It feels more like finishing a good book, and then it's on to the next one. Versus games that are made for you to keep playing and grinding and spending money forever.

You 100% the game and then the unthinkable happens ... they release a new game-length DLC. Suddenly, your 100% completion goes down to 50% 🤣

The next thing to do is to help all noobs for 3 weeks straight and tell them there's an event coming at a specific date, then fight them all at that time and see if you're skilled enough

The problem with being a completionist with modern games is that the video games have gotten so large that it has become increasingly difficult if not impossible.

It's like finishing a really great show, it's great but it was about the journey, not about the destination, and reaching it always leaves you hollow.

100% the witcher 2 was a huge sense of accomplishment. Took me hundreds of hours to unlock the Madman achievement.

When I 100% a game and it multiplayer, I help out new players. Seeing newer players happy doing thing I did gives me joy. It also helps players who get overwhelmed by games and quit, learn the game properly.

The absolute joy I had from 100% a game from when I was younger was incredible. What was more incredible was my dependency on YouTube to find all the secrets and achievements.

Completion isn’t felt as accomplishment, just relief that it’s over

Usually, I just bask in the glow of having done the thing-
Gives me a good minute of feeling good about myself, before being sad again 😂

It's when the 100% comes down to tedious Easter Egg hunts that the joy is sucked out. Or RNG-dependent things, like getting all items.

Man, I'll never forget how I felt 100%ing Dark Souls 3. I was about 350 hours in when the disc started to fail me, so I decided I'd go for all the achievements I missed before it gave out on me. It felt like a fond farewell to an old friend

The sadness at the end of a 100% run is usually replaced with excitement as I pick a new game to go at.

Ben's range of emotion is incredible. What an absolute unit!

I expected a twist when I didn't see him get a Platinum trophy or a ''100% done'' achievement right after the ''600 Bobo seeds'' one
