I'm feeling so depressed, and I have a huge creative's block

But watching your channel totally changes my mood, thank you Peter.

“It’s a hole in the ground, filled with water. And we love it.”
The simplicity of this idea motivates me. Thanks Pete. 👊💯🔥🤛🎤

Wow, as someone who has been on YouTube for over 8 years, has seen some huge highs and low lows, this video resonates with me like none other! Thank you for making this and for saying the things you said! 🙌 Often times I wish viewers understood this topic more, rather than always just demanding more and more from creators. Anyway, awesome vid!

Literally just had to stop my car to say not only thank you for this video, but thank you for everything that you do to make us all better creators.

I'm currently working a job that has kept me in a deep depression for more than 5 years, but I've been watching your channel for 2 years now, learning about photo and video. Not only did I just shoot my first wedding, but I've also started my own sneaker YT channel called Sole Vice and I'm happier than I've been in years. You gave me a light at the end of my tunnel and I can't thank you enough. I hope I get to thank you in person one day✌🏼

I started vlogging, and I fell in love with videocreating and editing, editing, editing. My vlogs are freaking stupid, but as long as I love it, and my mom keeps watching, I'll keep doing it!

Boy can I relate. Fiber arts was my hobby, that turned into an indie dyer business. It was fun and interesting at first, creating new colorways, learning and trying new dye techniques. Then the demand grew and it became production, repeating the same stuff over and over. And, it took away all the time I had to do any fiber arts just because I wanted to. No time to spin, knit or weave, except to make samples for the business. Then we bought property to start a homestead, and I started YouTubing that, and that became my creative outlet. But I suck at it, lol, I have a lot to learn (which is what led me to you). I’m working on improving B Roll right now, for the homestead channel, but now I have all sorts of ideas for a fiber arts channel. Creative minds never stop, I think. And you are right, we have to make time/take time for our passions. I’ve reduced my biz schedule drastically for 2020 for exactly that reason. Thanks for sharing this, and all your videos. I’m learning a lot here.

This year I have taken on the biggest project of my life, my passion, and my career. I am a ceramic artist and I make YT videos. I started this year ramping up my YT channel which was good but then had a bit of that "hit the wall" moment where I wasn't pushing myself creatively until I decided to finish my huge wood fired kiln project. Building that kiln kept me from creating videos for a few weeks but it really gave me time to think and decide what was important to me and what kind of videos I want to make based around my passion for creating works of art with clay. That time to think helped relieve me of that worry about what kind of videos people expect me to make vs what I want to make/talk about. Like you, I made a video about my thoughts and received a great number of messages encouraging me and thanking me for the thoughtful conversation. Anyway, thank you for expressing your sentiments on these issues! Its great to be able to look into your thoughts and heart for a bit. Cheers!!

Ohhh boy, I'm always in over my head 😂 I have the craziest film ideas but then I realise that I don't have Peter's skills ... (yet) 😂🔥

It's actually just like LOVE... why? Because when you love someone, you tend to give everything you have. And that signifies that Peter love us (subscribers). He give us all the knowledge he can give and he didn't even noticed... he doesn't actually do the things he teach us anymore. Just do what makes you happy. That is the most important thing. And yeah... you can't please anyone.

Honestly, I really needed this today. I started up my own production company just a few months back and have been getting myself into jobs that I'm way outside of my comfort zone, I have been figuring it out along the way. Fortunately everything I've done so far has been loved by my clients. I only do the work on the side, but yesterday I got word that I'm being laid off from my current job and it scares the living shit out of me. Seeing this video has given me the desire to not just settle on another job but to pursue what I actually love doing and not go back into retail or another desk job that just pays the bills. I'm taking this video, this lay off, and this time to look at this as a sign, it's time to stop second guessing myself and start doing what truly inspires and motivates me. Thanks for always showing even at the top level, sometimes you don't know what you're doing and figuring it out along the way is okay. Even though there's cloud coverage right now, I know if it stick it through the rain the sun will shine again. Thanks again Pete, I look forward to seeing your documentary with AVA and thanks for always continuing to inspire not just me but millions to follow their passions.

One of the things I find most inspirational about Peter besides how authentic he is and his love of coffee, he always includes the personality and life stuff. I feel like their is so much pressure in social media to put forward the make the most professional and non-personality content, and that has always been super discouraging. So thank you, Peter, for being real and authentic and individual, and inspiring in the way that being authentically yourself as someone who makes youtube films that it's okay to not be clinical and not personal. I feel like I needed permission, in a way, to make videos as myself, if that makes sense. Thank you.
