'Who's Next' is one of the greatest rock albums of all-time, from start to finish. It never leaves my playlist.

What I've learned from your reaction videos so far is that Brad has a punk soul - he wants 3 minute songs, no frills, no 'unnecessary' bells or whistles. Whereas Lex has a prog soul - she's turned on by displays of virtuosity, extended solos and the like.

Do "Won't Get Fooled Again", then "Behind Blue Eyes", and "Reign O'er Me". You won't be disappointed. Fantastic band!

He is talking about being a teenager and being stupid wasting time. Going from teenager to adult .... the Who one of thee best bands in history. I am 39 and took my 65 year old mother to see them she was crying with happiness she first saw them when she was sweet 16 and I was so glad I could give my mother some of the love she always brought to me through music.... Rock on Tommy ❤️

Not farmers. Not hunters. Think hippies in vans and tents, moving over the country. "Teenage wasteland."

Brad is so literal. Lex has the poet's soul.

This channel is so fun to watch. He's the head and she's the heart. He's analytical and tries to find the meaning in the song, and she feels the song and sees the sounds in her head. Keep up the great work.

This is from one of the greatest rock albums of all time: Who's Next. The Who have an incredible catalog of music from mod, to blues, to rock operas (Tommy and Quadraphenia) to electronic. Always evolving, RIP Keith and John.

"BEHIND BLUE EYES" is another Great Song of this Legendary Band.

How nice to see that a kickass rock song from 1971 can bring so much joy to a younger generation of rock n roll fans. The Who has so much more to offer and you are off to a good start. They are one of the premier rock bands ever.

I just realized I've heard this song a hundred times and never even tried to understand the lyrics, it just sounds so good I just enjoy it

The Who is my favorite band. I highly recommend listening to more of their catalogue.

Pete Townshend is a poet. Don't take his lyrics too literal.

Baba O'riley is never mentioned in the song. For the longest time I thought the title was "Teenage Wasteland". I love how Lex gets so into the music and the 'yeah' screams. The fiddle at the end that keeps building and you know something is going to happen and it keeps getting faster and faster just gives me chills. Y'all are picking some great music

Their most powerful song is "Reign O'er Me."

Damn, just stumbled onto you guys. Your reactions are priceless. I’m an old coot who grew up on this stuff. And it’s refreshing to hear some insight that has not been hampered by hype and nostalgia. Truly, old music seen through young eyes. I’m subscribing.

This song is Pete Townshend’s take on the people he saw at Woodstock when The Who preformed there

Moon the Loon baby!!! My absolute favorite drummer of all time. Unmatched and wild way of thrashing & setting the tone for the entire band.

"Townshend originally wrote "Baba O'Riley" for his Lifehouse project, a rock opera intended as the follow-up to the Who's 1969 opera, Tommy. In Lifehouse a Scottish farmer named Ray would have sung the song at the beginning as he gathered his wife Sally and his two children to begin their exodus to London. When Lifehouse was scrapped, eight of the songs were salvaged and recorded for the Who's 1971 album Who's Next, with "Baba O'Riley" as the lead-off track.

"According to Townshend, at the end of the band's gig at the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival the field was covered in rubbish left by fans, which inspired the line "teenage wasteland".[7] In another interview Townshend stated the song was also inspired by "the absolute desolation of teenagers at Woodstock, where audience members were strung out on acid and 20 people had brain damage. The irony was that some listeners took the song to be a teenage celebration: 'Teenage Wasteland, yes! We're all wasted!'"[8]

"The song's title combines the names of Meher Baba and Terry Riley, two of Townshend's philosophical and musical mentors.[9] The song is often incorrectly referred to as "Teenage Wasteland", due to these oft-repeated words in the song's chorus refrain. "Teenage Wasteland" was in fact a working title for the song in its early incarnations as part of the Lifehouse project, but eventually became the title for a different but related song by Townshend, which is slower and features different lyrics.[10] A demo of "Teenage Wasteland" features in Lifehouse Chronicles, a six-disc set of music related to the Lifehouse project, and in several Townshend compilations and videos."

Peter Townshend is the lead guitarist and main inspiration for the songwriting. He's an interesting guy. Who fans are generally very sad that the "Lifehouse" project was never finished, but at least we have this great song from it.

Lex is instantly into the groove and feel and Brad is still asking questions.
