This song will always remind me of a great friend who died graduation night from college 42 years ago. We had gone to a Who concert earlier in the year and we loved this song. I still have this album. ❤

'No one bites back as hard on their anger like I do, And I blame YOU.' OMG he's about to go off.

The difference between sad and angry is such a fine line.

in my opinion, "Who's Next" is the greatest album in rock history, front to back every track is astounding.

Have to recommend their song "Love, Reign O'er Me". So beautiful, both the singing and the music.

This song is from a Who? album entitled "Who's Next?" To me, it's one of the best albums to come out of the rock era by anyone. Do yourselves a favor a get a copy of this album. Every song is a masterpiece!

Truly one if the greatest bands ever. There music is easily translated to a full orchestra and they are known for their rock operas.

Fun facts: Animal from the Muppets is based on the drummer, Keith Moon. Roger Daltrey, the singer, was a semi-regular on the 1990s sci-fi series Sliders.

They have a great ability to vary the tempo & power of their song that really keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next note. Another HUGE recommendation for 'Love, Reign o'er me' for your next Who song!!!

The bass lines by "The Ox" (aka John Entwistle) really make this track for me. I'm a guitar player and Townsend's riffs, both acoustic and electric, are nothing short of legendary but Entwistle's counter melody behind the acoustic guitar on the verses is just amazing. And he makes it sound, and even look, quite simple to play. Until you try to play it yourself, that is. "The Ox" is one of the most influential bass players in the history of Rock & Roll.

There aren't many perfect albums where every song is great, Fleetwood Mac Rumors, Pretenders Learning to Crawl and 500 more I can't list but this one? Absolute perfection. This album is the middle of a trifecta of perfect albums, Tommy, Whos Next and Quadrophenia.

Behind Blue Eyes is a deep song by The Who that I love. Pinball wizard from Tommy is my favorite song by The Who as well and We won't get fooled again, followed by My Generation and Magic Bus.

Simon and Garfunkel's 1965 "I Am a Rock" goes really well thematically and musically with this 1969 song. Both were played on the radio a lot back in the late sixties and early seventies.

Since everyone else is suggesting "Love Reign O'er Me" (which I agree you MUST hear), I'll throw in "Emminence Front" with Pete on lead vocals, and "My Wife" with John on lead vocals, just so you can get a fuller sense of what each member brought to The Who.

Roger Daltrey's vocals in this are legendary. Townshend's lyrics really epitomize someone with Jekyll and Hyde feelings. Then you get Keith Moon going nuts on the drums. My only criticism of the song is that it is far too short. I always want more of the frenetic activity.

I had the pleasure of attending 2 The Who concerts...amazing musicians and showmen and LOUD !! I have enjoyed many concerts and, by far, their concerts were the LOUDEST.
Good times....

Hey, guys! If you haven't listened yet, Ten Years After "I'd Love to Change the World" is a pretty groovy tune. Have a wonderful 4th of July!
