I am grateful for your videos and the information they contain. Beyond me liking the video and subscribing you have a technical issue keeping more folks from enjoying you fully. You would do well to significantly change the sound levels in your recording sessions. There is nothing quite like having to crank up the volume on my computer to 100% to hear you whispering except maybe the thrill of then turning on my blue tooth speaker to finally be able to hear you at 90% only to then be slammed with the volume that the rest of you tube uses for ads. Check into it. It could help you in reaching your goals.

I had to YouTube this process. I interviewed back in February 27 and still no word from my current state. I applied for a job in a different state and girly a interview and tentative job offer in less than a month.

I cannot thank you enough for those videos and for answering our questions. Just after doing my drug screening, I received an email inviting me to complete the SF-86 in (e-App) which is the equivalent of e-QIP, and replace it as well. This is for a position with USCIS and one of the documents attached stated: Based on the results of our screening, you may be eligible to begin working for USCIS prior to us receiving your completed background investigation and making a suitability decision. This is an advanced Entry on Duty (EOD). I know that I have a clean record because I’ve been screened before for a government-level job and I’m currently working for a foreign government. The thing I’m worried about in my background check is 3 CC debts that are in collections because of some financial hardships that encountered in Jan. 2022. I was completely honest about that and listed them in the e-App. My question is if they extended to an FJO with an advanced EOD, will it be safe for me to accept? Also, keep in mind that I’m currently working with my creditors to have debt settlements and I would have resolved the issues with them by the time my background check is completed. Thank you so very much for answering.

What does it mean when the hiring managers were to call my references the day after my interview? Is that a good sign? They have called the professional references only so far. Thank you!

Hi, thank you for all the information! Is there a time frame from interview to contacting references (I was told all references for each applicant must be contacted as part of the process)? I was also told that it could take 4-6 months for the process.

I'm still stuck in the pre-employment stuff (it's all completed) and can't even get anyone to respond by email about the status or next steps. This lack of professionalism is concerning for me personally. I try to respond to emails within 72 hours at my current workplace.

Thank you for this video!! I had two rounds of interview with Small Business Administration which they work with FEMA or part of them and it has been a month already which I have not heard anything back yet. The first interview was scheduled 3 weeks after I submitted the application. The hiring manager said 'You will hear from us either way.' but I got no response when reached out to the person on the job announcement. I am currently unemployed and have a job offer in line. No reference checks or anything... Should I assume that I did not get the job? If so, then I will move on with other opportunities.

Hello! Do you happen to know if the grade series "NB" is considered Federal government (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) (vs GS)? If a person switches form a GS to an NB job, will his/her tenure, retirement, leave etc. smoothly transition over?

hi what types of documents includes the certs thats come back to HR after the interview? I called my Agency contact on monday and she told me that she receive my cert back last week from the service that i was interview, but she was not working. She told me that she have to call the services that interview me because there was documents in the cert missing.

If I was employed at the VA less than a year ago, left and will be returning, do I have to go through all the background checks all again? Also; why the firm poker faces in the interview and no reply after a thank you email? Is that the people or the VA policy? Thank you!

Hello! I am currently a grade 12, have been verbally told that my 13 promotion has been approved, but I don’t yet have my formal SF-50. I am interested in applying for another job at the same grade level/s that I believe will be announced very soon at a 12/13. Two questions, please. If I do not receive my formal SF-50 before the announcement is posted, should I just apply to the GS13 (my last SF-50 shows my 52 weeks eligibility for the 13) and not apply to the 12 as well)?

Also, I seem to recall a question from my last application that confused me. “Do you wish to be considered non-competitively?” I’m not sure if that’s a yes or no answer? Is there an advantage or disadvantage to this? I have no special type of hiring authority. No vets preference. No Schedule A, etc.

I got a TJO but the link kept giving me technical issues so i notified HR right away and was told they will get back to me. I missed the deadline due to the issue but did make it known I had trouble accessing it and also made sure they knew I intend to accept. I'm nervous this will cause me to lose the TJO ; would this be something that causes them to take it back ?
