Thank you so much for this video. I had looked into doing the liftmore program, and found that they had excluded anyone taking thyroid medication. Because I take thyroid medication and for other reasons, I decided against it. Your video makes me feel I made the right decision. Thanks!

Thank you for clarifying. It is very appealing to be able to grow bone with maybe an hour per week lifting. The potential negative sound as bad as the drugs. Thanks for all the information you sift through and present.

Absolutely Correct! Vertebral fractures can be subtle.

I herniated my disc at L1/L2, doing deadlifts with only 5 lbs per side. My neurosurgeon advised me to NEVER EVER do deadlifts again! Thank God 🙏 I didn't need surgery. However, I was in excruciating pain for months and had numbness as well.

Hi Margaret: I appreciate you weighing in on this. I am just at the beginning of deciding whether or not to lift heavy. I have been working for 5 years using free weights —progressively and incrementally adding weight if and when I feel ready. I’m Bone Fit certified and follow the McGill protocol. No fractures, no pain. I trust my trainer and myself to not go where my gut tells me not to. If you have concerns about Liftmor then are you saying not to lift heavy at all? I look forward to hearing your thoughts as I want to feel I’ve carefully considered all the risks. Ultimately it will be my own decision I take full responsibility for.

Thank you for your videos Margaret. I am very confused as I have been encouraged to do deadlifts, squats etc. despite having vertebral fractures. I understand that strength training is important as we get older otherwise muscles will get weaker. As well as exercises, I do a lot in the garden and there is generally much of this kind of exercise in daily life. I am struggling with finding the right balance of exercise without injury and hearing conflicting advice. I'm sure I'm not the only feeling this. Thank you again 😊

Hello, thank you for your information. I too am interested in your thoughts on weighted vests with spinal osteoporosis and also if you still recommend heavy weights

Any thoughts on weighted vests with spinal osteoporosis?

Margaret, not related to this study, but I can’t find the series of vids you did on CA & exercise. Could you post the link, please? I want to share it with my Oncologist.
