Overall, I feel that the experience of a project manager holds more value if the work is in the same city. For example, if you worked in New York for five years and then moved to Texas, your situation would be more challenging. In New York, you would have built relationships with subcontractors, laborers, and suppliers, which adds significant value to your expertise. However, if you move to a different state or city, you won’t have the same advantages over your peers in that location.

Of course, this is different from fields like programming and technology, where years of experience hold the same value regardless of the city you work in.

Is there high demand for project management jobs? I mean, is it easy to get a job in this field with low competition?
