It took me a while to understand this build but once I got the hang of it I'm absolutely addicted. Who needs blocking when you fruit ninja the sh*t out of everything that moves?

Quick note: fastest way to get roundtable hold is NOT to kill Margit. Especially for new people, that will take forever.
The fastest way to get to Roundtable is to use the teleporter north of the third church of marika in limgrave to get to dragonbarrow. That will immediately trigger melina to appear and take you to the roundtable when you rest at the grace there.

A small addition, the Scimitar and other curved swords have a special attack where when charging a heavy if you attempt to backstep you will swing a quick slash and then backflip. this can be used against normal enemies after a running L1 since it puts you a little farther back then a backstep. you also gain the backstep R1 after it so if you proc the bleed you can go in to finish them off if you need to. this also works if you use any thrusting sword. you'll do a swipe and then leap back. I don't know if this works on curved greatswords or heavy thrusting swords but it could so test it out if you are already using those

Get the Claw Talisman for this build. It shreds bosses and everything. That 4-hit jumping slash is a killer.

This build is super fun to play !
You shred through almost every kind of mobs !
The more you play it, the more agressive your play style becomes, you tend to go all out in places you were way more careful with other builds.
Only downside for me is that I tend to be too agressive and attacks too much because I get carried away by the momentum🤺🤦‍♂
Hesitation is defeat 🥷☯⚔
Big thanks for all the content you bring us Fextra, great work ! 👏

It's really interesting watching these old videos and seeing how much we've learnt about the game over ~18 months.

To get bloody slash, run past all the enemies and once you're at the top of fort haight, climb the ladder in the tower to the right (where the half item is for one of the later elevators). Jump of off the top of the latter on the right side and you'll land on a platform. Smack away at the knight when he is climbing the latter until he falls off and dies. Don't worry about falling, you can't fall from your own attacks in this game. There is a lower platform you can jump to and from there jump to the ground. Clearing the fort from your height advantage by being at the top of the ramps is also a lot easier.

I've tested all the status effects (bleed, frostbite, poison, and rot) and I can confirm that every time you successfully proc one of those effects it will take more hits to proc it again, and this continues to stack every time you proc it. I'm not sure about the specifics, though. Could be a percentage based on their resistances, or it could be a flat amount. One thing to know, though, is each effect is separate from each other. For instance, frostbite and bleed are both resisted by robustness, but procing one of those affects does NOT effect the other. As such, if it would take two hits to proc either bleed or frostbite, and you proc only bleed, then the next bleed will take 3 hits while frostbite will still only take two since it hasn't been procced yet.

One oddity that I still need to test, though, is that when something is frostbitten and you make them bleed it seems to remove their frostbite status. Frostbitten enemies will take more damage while the status persists so some would prefer if it remains, but frostbite can't be reprocced until it runs it's course. Meaning, the player can't get that percentage health damage in that occurs when it procs. I have at least confirmed that being hit by fire removes frostbite and seems to also reduce it's build up, but I think the removal of the build up before proc needs further testing.

Regardless, I hope this is of interest.

I would really love a guide on Warrior's equipment (armor, swords)! I would love to add variety to my gameplay!

I’d definitely love to see the advanced version of this build. I use it but instead of scimitars I use dual falchions, they’re curved swords with slightly more damage but still have the speed.

Since you will start investigating uncommon builds soon a suggestion would be to create an Assassin class, using Darkness and Assassin's Approach incantations and playing mostly during the night. Pretty fun.

I'm looking at this video, and the gameplay, and The Animations in this game is absolutely stunning!, they use the whole space in their attacks sometimes, and there's almost no animation blending issues, it's a real joy to watch.. Even though I'm getting slaughtered, I always enjoy watching these enemies, they have a ton of different attacks, and they really feel very unpredictable ...

I've tested this build for awhile and i think there's a room for improvement. I think that the WAY better weapon of choise for this would be twinblade instead of powerstancing scimitars:
1. It generaly deals more damage. Seems like 2H twinblade kills enemies faster than powerstancing scimitars, both with and withoud bleed procs
2. Better reach and wider cone of attack
3. No need to copying ash of war
4. Cuts smithing stones expenses in half
5. More AR, so bloodslash skill deals more damage
6. Consumes less stamina per damage number
7. Not mensioned in the video, but powerstancing near useless against enemies with shields or stone skin perk
8. You don't need warrior's 2 scimitars, so you can start as any other class

The only downside is that twinblade requiers 18 dex, but first levels ere pretty cheap and it's not a big problem. Also, twinblade shares requirement with flail, which is perfect spare weapon against enemies that don't bleed and have high resistance to slash damage: like imps, skeletons, watchdogs, miners or crystalians
