Top 5 BEST Starting Classes/Builds To Pick In Elden Ring

So, FromSoft actually flipped the Equip Load to scale w/ Endurance now (s/o to Captain Lonewolf) - BUT THAT'S OKAY. I honestly feel the same way about the ranking. Just consider the fact that you'll need Endurance to equip heavier armor/weapons on w/o fat rolling. I kinda figured they'd do this, and apparently it was leaked that the change has been made lol.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERYTHING IS SUBJECTIVE! In this video, I give you guys my take on the top 5 best starter classes/builds to pick in Elden Ring! I'll be making a bunch of content on Elden Ring moving forward, and with the game right around the corner - I figured I'd make a video that could help out newcomers and returning players decide how to start their journey in Elden Ring! I hope you all enjoy.

A quick notes I want to add about the Confessor is that it is actually perfect for those who want to build a hybrid class using Faith magic and melee since both Dex and STR start at 12. Also it's not just Pyromancies that will scale with faith, there are also some beast/ dragon incantations you can find that can be used as well.
Builds are gunna be so awesome in this game I swear.

Me who already has known they're gunna pick Confessor for the past week and a half: "Ah yes, I definitely need to know what starter class I'm going to pick."

Gonna start with the confessor and turn him into a strength + faith build

Good faith and mind + decent vig and strength + SUPREME fashion souls. This is the one for me!

I'm tied between hero and vagabond personally. I'll have to wait and see what I feel like playing. Prisoner could also be used for a viable str/int build since dex is just default required for a lot of different wepaons so you won't need to invest in dexterity right off the bat if that is what you want as well. Another perk for that class. Prisoner is probably going to be #1 for a lot of people later on.

Another thing to note about vagabond is that it can reach 40/40/40/40 str/dex/vit/end with 4 points to spare before hitting 120 so if a quality build is what you're looking for that is a great class for it.

I started my first play through as Wretch and ended up running a curved greatsword with stats of a quality build. Then I found dragon spells and bleed weapons. Well now we’re Faith/Arcane and Bleed and I couldn’t have a more perfect build. Bleed builds in ds3 were my favorite and pyromancer is what I beat the game and all dlc’s twice with. The fact I can do both in Elden ring just makes me want to cry

I did Vagabond. I always do a pure strength play through, then a mage. I think I'm going to have to turn him into Battle mage. I feel like I'm missing out on all this magic

Warrior class all the way with an incoming Belmont build rocking duel wield whips and specking heavy into dexterity and endurance with secondary stats as strength and vigor. Bring on my morning star whip!!!

I’m thinking of buying the game even though I’ve never played a souls game. Based off of other videos I’ve watched and now this one, I’m thinking of starting as a samurai or a vagabond.

Going with a Confessor class in fashion of Geralt or Trevor Belmont: dual straight swords, dual daggers a whip and incarnations. LETS GO!!

I’m going back and forth between Vagabond, Prisoner, and Confessor

There’s just something about the confessor man. That Yharnam drip, the spy lore, looks interesting as a character

Increasing strength don’t affect equipment load anymore it Endurance now

I'm leaning prisoner, did mage in ds2 and 3 and kinda want to switch it up a little and that looks like a nice hybrid class right there.

Fam. You had me with the breakdown of the classes and reasoning. You sold me with the J.Cole instrumental. Middle Child is one of my workout jams.

I've platinumed ds1 and Bloodborne, I've done everything but the farming for online Covenant items in DS3, and i beat ds2 a few years ago.

I tried sekiro but I could never get used to all the differences. Maybe some day I'll revisit it but until then, I'm gonna pick the Samurai class in Elden Ring to compensate lol

definitely choosing vagabond for my quality build, and since it start lvl 9 i could add some points to faith or int to make a quality and faith/int build

Thanks. Very informative. Haven't gotten the game yet but there are so many classes I been busting my brains to figure out which class best to start out with. Seems like either Vagabond or Sumarai.
