Lisa Langell discusses your journey as a photographer with Larry Pollock. Larry's Sedona Milkyway image was just selected for National Geographic Explorer! They go way back when they both started dabbling in photography. Will buying more expensive gear solve you photography woes? Everyone is on their own journey - learning at their own pace, and don't compare yourself to others!! They discuss the difference between documenting and creating fine art, plus creating your own style! Emulation of greats like Ansel Adams is a great way to start but at some point you have to change and "be your own" artist. Part of this is planning your shoots and doing the research. Learn your tools before replacing it - again new gear does not always mean you will get better images. Stay passionate and don't let others get you down.
