I can confidently say, as someone who’s uncomfortable using tampons, I have never once been made fun of for using a pad, nor has anyone ever pointed them out to me… am I just lucky?

Fun fact…pads won’t show through your pants if your pants are not skin tight. You have several options.

This entire channel seems to be, "How to get your teenage daughter to run away from home".

This just brought me back to one time in 7th grade when my dad bought me 240 panty liners instead of pads. 😂

My mom was this way. Did not let us get tampons. Only pads growing up. Those were the years of big bulky pads..not like todays that are thinner and so much better. Any who, I finally 'took the leap' when I got my own car and cash and figured out what worked best for me. Now i have a daugther, shes young but Ive already 'walked her down the aisle". Showed her all choices available to her. And am grateful for things like period underwear that is out there now. Like use all 3 if needed.

How did you come up with the “Mrs M” character? Is she based on a real person?

Omg there is no way this was a real interaction that would have been INCREDIBLY akward

I am an adult andnever use tampons, and never had any sort of problem.people should stop un-normalizing pads for young girls.

The ultra thin all night pads are the best

I’ve always appreciated women who thought of me as a daughter And helped me out when my own birth mother could care less.

I remember those days mom said “never introduce anything into your body” meaning tampons and who knows what else… and when dad found out I was on my period he thought I had a miscarriage or an abortion 🤦🏻‍♀️ why do parents always think the worse I remember my mom arguing with dad that it was my period not an abortion

Is it a cultural thing? In Mexico and Malaysia literally no one made fun of me for wearing a pad :/ only white girls would look at me weird if I mentioned I used pads 🙄

I’m confused how the pad would show through your underwear, and pants/skirt/dress… how does one even wear it to make it show????

I’m surprised this is still an issue with today’s parents. I know that even back in the 80s, tampons were for “experienced” women and the “bad” girls because there was a fallacy about tampons and virginity.

Feminine hygiene has evolved beyond pads and tampons. There are menstrual cups, menstrual sponges as well as interlabial pads and period panties that aren’t as “obvious” as traditional pads.

I never wear tampons because my grandma almost died because her tampon scratched her insides. And I've heard that it hurts to remove it when it's dried. I'm perfectly content with pads but I understand that not everyone likes the feeling of a pad

The problem is if the person ends up getting toxic shock from the tampons without their parents knowing what’s up. It hit me in less than an hour but thankfully my mom knew I was trying out the tampon life so she acted fast.

My mom was no help for me when I started and it was a subject not to be talked about. Made me feel ashamed. I made sure my kids, both my daughter and son could talk openly about this stuff.

Vividly reminding me of how my mother cloaked control as care and "protecting my morals"🙄😒😮‍💨. Which sounds fine on the surface, but it's basically just a license to shame and castigate.

I'm Italian and I ask, as a mother of a grown up daughter: "What on earth is weird about using tampons?" 😮 A young girl can use them, even if she's still a virgin. They are really comfortable, especially when you have to wear a bath suit, at the seaside or swimming pool...or with a particular dress... there's nothing"kinky " or embarrassing with that kind of item. Just be careful to change them often and, at night, better use pads.
