i’m on the road to recovery myself. it’s my third go but they say the third time’s the charm! let’s go sobriety! ❤️

edit: recovery isn’t gatekept. nicotine is an addictive substance—complete with withdrawals and urges and the like—and i’m well within my right to celebrate getting clean. i’ve struggled with other addictions but i didn’t think that was necessary to mention. there will always be someone who has it worse. is nicotine like meth? no. but i don’t like myself on nicotine, the irritability, the nausea, sweating.. it’s getting in the way of day-to-day life and i commend myself massively to be working on quitting alone. i say sober in reference to being clean from self harm. those of you who seem to want to discredit me—do so all you want, but i encourage you to be kind. i have friends who are clean from hard drugs who are all for me quitting nicotine right now. anywho.. thank you for those with kind words :)
