Bruh, the majority of my university classmates either smoke or vape and those who vape think they're safe from the cigarette dangers.
Lol...

Vaping being safer than smoking is like saying being stabbed in the gut is safer than the neck. Technically true, if you absolutely had to choose, but better to avoid altogether.

The rule is simple
- If you smoke, switch to vaping
- If you don't smoke, don't vape

I see girls vaping literally everytime I go to the bathroom at school. I’ve even been offered one once and I was just like no thanks bro 💀

Vaping is supposed to be a tool used to ween yourself off of cigarettes by decreasing the nicotine content over time and quit for good. Too many people see vaping as cool or harmless and do it even more than regular smoking. Since vaping was introduced the amount of teens and young adults sky rocketed and even people who don’t smoke cigarettes get into vaping, it is crazy.

I have always looked at it as like….the only thing that should go into your lungs is air.

I think this happens mainly because you´re supposed to regularly clean filters/pieces and no one ever does so lots of bacteria/fungus/mold start to grow inside the device and with moist and warm conditions it´s a recipe for proliferation.

I smoked for years, switched over to vape and gradually reduced the nicotine until I was on zero. Then phased out the vaping. Must be 3 years since I lasted vaped and 5/6 years since I last smoked.

My mum smoked her whole life and now vapes instead. Best thing she has ever done. I was convinced she would never give up the cigarettes.

All that said - you would be crazy to start vaping just for the sake of it. It’s great as a tool to get off the cigarettes but that’s it. Even with vaping I was prone to coughing and congestion. All that is gone now.

Vitamin E should not be inhaled. If you vape check if thats one of the ingredients listed. If its just PG/VG unflavored it tends to be "better" because you know what's in it.

I love how every few years, humanity will come out with something that is extremely addictive. And when it's legal, it will develop a culture around it. So now it's twice as effective at getting people addicted.

To be fair there really aren't that many unknowns in vape liquid. Here are the ingredients: propylene glycole, vegetable glycerin, nicotine (if applicable) and flavoring. The issue here is the way flavors and fragrances are allowed to be labeled on ingredient lists, and it's just that, you only have to say "flavor" and/or "fragrance" you don't need to go into ANY kind of detail of what makes up a flavoring or scent. That needs to change. This applies to "regular" vape juice and not the ones that promise vitamin or therapeutic benefits.

After vaping on and off since I was 13 years old, I finally quit at 17 years old. Since I quit, my anxiety and depression has gotten so much better, and I have noticed I have way more energy and I don’t get nearly as winded as I used to get. If you’re vaping, I would recommend quitting. You’re not doing yourself any favors.

Fun fact: lungs are made to inhale air

I've been vaping nicotine since 2018 and never got any sort of pneumonia or lung disease. It's only through smoking that I got asthma. In the news at least in the USA and Canada if you look up the reports from people that got vaping related illnesses they got it from sketchy cannabis products that contained vitamin e which was never present in nicotine vaping. I must say even though vaping is more safer does not mean that it's safe because nicotine addiction is a thing.

I’ve tried the gum, the patches, and plethora of other nicotine replacements but nothing got me to stop smoking 2 packs of Newport’s a day except vaping 🤷‍♀️ I can now laugh without coughing. As a replacement for cigarettes in harm reduction it’s fantastic. Nonsmokers should not just start vaping for hell of it, though

A girl at my old job got addicted to vaping and vaped all the time whenever she could. she collapsed one day and had to be rushed to the hospital while she was at work. idk if she’s better or anything like that but she couldn’t breathe and her heart was beating so fast because she vaped so much. everyone else that I worked with vaped and was addicted to it because they would have to go outside every now and then to vape. our boss didn’t like it but she didn’t know they all vaped at work and in the building. i quit because it was a really bad environment

Six years ago I started vaping instead of smoking, 3 months later caught a bacteria infection in lung which collapsed an stayed in ICU 8 days. Now I have a folded lung.

I think this happens because people vape more frequently than smoking cigarettes. Vapers are constantly chugging on the vape not really aware of how often they’re doing it cos it’s ‘safe’. I think smoking 10 cigarettes a day is probably just as damaging as vaping constantly throughout the day
