Thank you for calling out KK as a no talent assistant. She was allowed to help coordinate a few low budget, fringe movies at the time which happened to become big hits because the thinkers behind them were genius. She was just allowed to be involved, likely because she would do the work they didn't want to do. But she should never be allowed to be the creative mind behind anything. She doesn't have the chops.

If, as Headland said, she devoted most of her headspace to crafting The Acolyte, then she must not have a lot of headspace to begin with. The terrible, contrived plot, the ridiculous dialogue, the rapid-fire inconsistencies in character motivation--those are all basic errors indicative of either a hastily-assembled draft, or a general lack of talent.

Lucasfilm needs to take a page out of DC's playbook in how they hired James Gunn to run the studio but he still gets to direct movies. Lucasfilm needs to offer the studio head position to Jon Favreau and still let him write/direct.
