Having spent my childhood in the 1950s, this would have been spectacular beyond words. It would have stunned the world and have become a legendary hit. Sci-fi movies back then were mostly made of cardboard and tin...with a few exceptions like "Forbidden Planet" and "The Day The Earth Stood Still."

Everything about this is so cool ! The emulated retro 40's cracking soundtrack, the music of those days, the overall ambiance and the rather amusing yet creepy eyes and the way they walk and just the incredible CGI effects and textures and the characters. Really cool ! Someone really knew what they were doing and how to do it !
