that's why there should be someone checking the edits who is not the editor! it's the same as writing a paper. You may check your work five times and still not notice that one typo that suddenly pops up out of nowhere upon submission.

First thing they made us do in my editing class is to have 2 people check your work. If the export is still “funky” after 3 people reviewing it, we all got a dock in points, didn’t matter if it was your project or not. The only way to protect your grade is to have a written list of what needed to be worked on and if the original editor didn’t fix it only they were docked.

Actually, if a person is checking it multiple times, his brain will miss seeing any spots if not watching it extremely slow.

This is why there should be someone else watching it for the editor, at least 2 people to make sure everything is ok
