I’m arriving on Monday for a week! I’ll take cold grey weather over the 40C days we are having in Sydney at the moment!

As a English person living in Copenhagen, I can endorse all of these points. Wish I'd known the taxi one when we first came.

Just got back from Copenhagen (and other parts of Denmark) Can confirm we did not once need cash anywhere we went. I had some US currencey and a little bit of Euro in case i was in a real pinch. I wound up throwing 15 Euro on the table after we had an exceptional experience with a waiter at a restaurant in Aarhus.

And also no matter the time of the year BRING A JAKKET bring shoes and bring warm clothes, not necessarily winter jackets but rainproof clothes. Even in the summer the weather is unpredictable and it rains a lot so bring warm clothes.

There is actually one decent place to eat at Strøget: Shawarma House. It's propably one of the most expensive Shawarma places in Copenhagen, but it's actually really good.

I am enjoying your videos and they are very informative! Thank you very much! My first time to Copenhagen will be coming up for 3 1/2 days near the City Central Station. Arriving early in the morning on May 26th and leaving in the evening on May 29th to Oslo. Haven't seen if you have videos on Oslo, but will be checking!

Architecture, statues, and fountains are my main interest! So, I have the Palace, Castle, and churches on my list to see. The Round Tower is definitely on my list for the view of the city!

The City Card is for only 2 days, but also noticed it includes a lot of attractions. I've also watched videos about the On Off Buses with 3 day tickets and trying to determine which route to go to save on the walking. I'm debating staying in the Copenhagen area, because there is so much to see. But, the amount of walking I save, I may be able to use the 3rd day for "Frederiksborg Castle" or "Malmo and Lund Cathedral". Then the half morning before leaving to walk around the city center for stuff I did not get a chance to see.

Just started watching your channel, making notes on things. We are coming around the 19th of may 2025 what do you think the weather will be like then.

Most important advice for vacation anywhere in Scandinavia: only visit in June/July/August. The rest of the year is depressing, dark, cold and terrible.

you're so right about not taking cash. i especially converted some krone to take and nowhere I went would accept it. and I tried to find a way to pay for train tickets with it and it's impossible as no ticket machines take it ( as you say) and the stations are all unstaffed.

I find your video concise but informative. Can you help with local government sites that provides the full list of the etiquette and cultural expectations (local customs) in Denmark with the exception of your site which is great though!

I keep hearing that we don’t need to bring cash but I also heard that customs will ask to see cash as proof before they will allow entry
