The 2D to 3D up-conversion does a pretty good job. Especially racing games, or third person games. GTAIV looks pretty damn cool on my 3D LG.

To all PS3 owners with a HDtv which is 3D enabled, you need to buy a Highspeed 1.4 HDMI cable as this is the only cable that is optimised to handle true 1080p and 3D content.

PC world and the like are charging anywhere between £50 & £80 for the cable but if you go on Amazon you can pick the same cable up for around £5.99 & £9.00.

The most common message when you try and enable 3D through the PS3 is "3D TV or playback device required" this is because your old 1.3 HDMI cable is not compatble

Just got a 46"inch 3d samsung, and man this is awsome!! I have a ps3, and an xbox360, I am playing black ops in 3d and is great, I really think this feature should be apply in all games. It does cost some cash to get into the 3d deal. Glasses range $50-$130 bucks a pair, bluray movies$20-$40, high end hdmi cable $100 for 4 feet!! My investment cost $1, 975 dollars. 3 glasses, 4 3d movies, hdmi cable, and tv. Worth every penny!!:)

Maybe when you connect your PS3 via HDMI for the first time, you selected "NO" for the second question that's why it displays in standard definition even with HDMI. To enable questions once again, while PS3 is on standby mode (power red) hold down the power button (power green as powering up) don't remove your finger and after about 5seconds it beeps then remove your finger. The 2 questions will re-appear on screen and you have to select "YES" to all questions. Hope it displays in HD this time.

@GlockNinja Yes, it will. I'm also getting this tv and I did some research. Everyone who has the tv that I asked has no problem setting up the PS3 to it. Hope that answers your question.

basically with an active 3d t.v the glasses do the work, with passive the t.v does the work.only a couple brands make passive 3d t.v's.the glasses are way cheaper at about 3 dollarss a piece compared to active at 50 to 150 dollars.i have a toshiba 3d 55 inch passive and it's great.every time i take the kids to see a 3d movie at the cinema i keep the glasses and bring home to use.so i have a cupboard full of free glasses
