Man I’ve spent the past 4 hours trying to sign in the QR code keeps popping up after I typed the special password in. I’m at a lose. I’ve watched every video about it on YouTube and its all the same thing. I’ll try again tomorrow. If someone doesn’t help me get signed in I’m probably gonna end up breaking it tomorrow and never buying anything from Sony again. I’m about fed up lol.

I did this and it still did the same thing 2 weeks later. (I don't use ps3 that often) so this seems to be the best way if you still use it every day. Sony really does blow.

I did exactly this and i still cant sign in. it says "you cannot sign in using another users sign in ID (email address)." basically ive always used a 2nd account on my ps3, but this method doesn't work when i try to sign in on the main one I use on ps5.

Edit: so on ps3, before you sign into your account, you have to select a ‘user’ and I was trying to sign in to 2 different account on 1 user and that’s why it didn’t let me, I can’t believe I didn’t realize this lol, all I wanted was to buy some avatars, anyways, thanks.

This update IMO happened in December 2021. I haven't been able to play online BF3 since. Instead of cussing out Sony. I have not given them a dime since 2013. 😂. I'll be getting the PS5 once GTA6 is released.
