I never thought that i would comprehend this rule

The complex exponential function is so usefel yet easy to understand if you know just a little bit about trigonometry. It helps a lot to calculate complex numbers which is useful for eletrical engineering and even signal processing.

I remember doing this and it made perfect sense

arent there conditions to rearrange the order of an infinite series? because if you just rearrange you could end up with a different answer than the original

Bro this thing got recommended right after we covered it in our class

Resorting the series of e^x is only allowed by certain convergence properties of the series! Not all series are allowed to be resorted without changing their value.

I had a calc 3 test on this exact problem and I encountered it after the test🤧

can u make a video in wich u show that geometrically?

Imaginary numbers threw in a whole new world of possibilities, entirely new planes of existence. And e^i(pi) only shows how amazing math can be. I’m sure we haven’t found all the things in imaginary numbers yet.

I just think of a unit circle, e^it corresponds to rotating an angle of t around the unit circle, cos(t) is the x coordinate which is the real part, sin(t) is the y coordinate which is the imaginary part.

Aren't the first equations approximations?

This proof is invalid, since it doesn't establish that sin(x)=x–⅙x³+...
The challenge is to relate this property of sin(x):
• sin"(x)=-sin(x)
• sin(0)=0
• sin'(0)=1
To the geometric properties.

i always thought these taylor expansions were derived from euler's formula... and here euler's formula is derived from taylor expansions... it seems like a rather arbitrary self-referential definition to me

Not right, Taylor series are only for real numbers… but let’s say you’re lucky

Sir in imaginary number √I =-1 but sir as we know root square of any number is always positive like if we take -1 to the power 2 then the answer will be 1.
