These online retailers need to limit it to 1 per customer.

You know what saves me more money than honey? Not buying crap I don't want in the first place. 100% saving right there.

plot twist: the cards are tested by mining on them 😅

I could feel the disturbance in the force when I contemplated that there may be a x080 series card coming that won't be $1000-1100 (that's non-Ti) by the time it arrives here. Thankfully, miners laid those worries to rest. Thank you, miners!

Vega VII already did 100MH/s at ~200W. So that's why they are perpetually sold out.

It's TCO what matters, cost of card, performance, efficiency vs lifetime

Not going to happen: the mining scene has moved onto dedicated ASIC miner hardware that far outperforms non-dedicated hardware like gpus.

If the 3080 gets 85-90 mh which is the rumored hashrate based on some dude in China that benchmarked all the cards for mining already then it just makes sense from a financial stand point to buy as many as possible for 2 reasons #1 obviously since it gets 90 mh that’s fairly profitable rn and most people like passive income and #2 if we all know they are gonna sell out then any miner is going to want to buy as many as possible because resale value will be more than msrp because they will constantly be sold out. I’m a miner and I plan on buying 6 don’t be mad because I like to make money when the general consumer just looks at the card just for gaming it’s hard to ignore a decent chance for good profit I do feel a little bad for gamers but like most gamers aren’t playing ultra high 1440p and 4K and y’all could get 20 series cards for dirt cheap and easily max ur FPS on any 1080p 144hz monitor with any game. Honestly if I’m a serious gamer right now I’d grab a 2080ti while people are selling them for 400-600 much better deal then a 3070 in my opinion

How are they "dropping them to miners" when sales haven't even begun yet, and don't until the 17th?

This was actually the first issue I thought of when 30 series was announced. Proof of Stake FTW! lol

Edit: Returns for crypto mining isn't NEARLY as lucrative as it was in 2015-2017 so I doubt it will be as hard to find cards as it was those years. Plus BTC just halved in May.

Since you don't get into cyrpto mining much, there are many just GPU Mining Farms, and we are gonna go after the 3090 and 3080's, I am also a gamer, but minig is a big part of my life and income

Very unlikely. Power requirements are way too high to make profits.
