Sold my 2080 Ti two days ago for $700, and threw my GTX 970 in my rig to tide me over until I get a 3080.

I'm patient... Let's see how AMD's RDNA 2 performs, seems I'd be fine with my current PSU especially considering what card I'm running now. And btw cool NVidia. No really it's 700, pre-orders 1200 (some a bit lower, a bunch even higher...). Also want to see how Ryzen 4000 does and how much the motherboards will cost, although My current board should have no problem with it so I can wait even longer with that. I'm not in a hurry. My system at that time will be a 2 generations old config, but still manages to run at the highest settings at 1440p (my monitor can't get more). Btw admittedly my 2700X, CL14 memory and my Vega 64 are overclocked and in the latter case undervolted too of course with a volt mod as well. (I got the Vega new for cheaper than a RX580/590, hence that choice although it's a monster if you know what you're doing. Thanks for all the bad reviews from reviewers who didn't know what you can get out of it 😜).
In short I'll have patience and just see what happens....

3090 is no titan, they increased the price as expected. Don't be afraid to tell the truth.

I can't imagine how bloody hot the inside of the 3080 gets if it was leaked that the outside is 65 degrees. Also Moore's Law said that the failure rate might be high.

0:33 First reviews are out. Results: The 3080 is so fast that almost everything below 4k is stuck in a CPU bottleneck, even with the fastest CPUs available today.
The 3080 is a fantastic GPU, but as long as there are no better CPUs and you don't have a 4k 144Hz monitor, you really don't need it for gaming.

Lying on my couch watching all those panic videos about "oh my god, i wo't get the new hardware! Let's spend 500€ more for that." Sometimes this whole crap is like a society disease! I suggest everone to calm down. Use your old stuff and buy new stuff if available. There are worse things in life than getting the newest GPU :-)))
