I know it may seem like eating food gives you energy, but I want you to consider the massive amounts of energy and resources it takes to chew, digest, and assimilate food.

Additionally, your body redirects blood flow away from your brain, and to your digestive system. This means your presentation or project you are working on doesn't get your full attention.

A standard American diet of 800 calories takes about 12 hours to digest. This means for that entire duration, the body is limited on it's energy resources because it's dealing with that meal.

This goes for snacking too. Even the healthiest snacks need to be dealt with.

The number one reason most people "need to snack" is because they are pure sugar burners. They've taught their body to run on a glucose hit every 2-3 hours. This is the fastest way to age yourself.

The goal is to become metabolically flexible. Your cells can only choose two things for fuel, sugar or fat. You want to make fat the preferred fuel source.

How do you do this? You want to re-program your genes. This can be done by eating more healthy fats, less carbohydrates, and stop snacking!

Do this for 14-21 days, then you can implement a specific fasting protocol.
