Dude no don't just push it away just cut a slit in the rubber seal and push through it. If you push the entire thing out the noise, heat and any water during crossings will enter the cab. Cut a slit and push the wiring through that slit and it still keeps it nice and sealed

Putting a light bar on an old ranger I picked up. 1996, couldn't find a spot to snake through it so I watched this just incase and it was in almost the same spot! Thanks so much

It took 2 seconds to pop this grommet out. I've spent an hour trying to put it back into place and still can't get it (despite the video saying it just pops back into place). Grease (as suggested by one of the comments) didn't help. I can push/pull it all the way through the hole, but getting it to seat as intended I can't seem to get. Someone mentioned a tool on Amazon but no information on how to find that tool. Any additional help to get the grommet reseated would be helpful...thinking I may unfortunately need to go to the dealership.
