In my last place of work I experienced a lot of bullying/mobbing which was effecting my mental state. Finally on one occasion a supervisor started shouting at me for no reason, I felt this crossed the red line for me so I shouted back. This happened again a couple of weeks later and I did the same. Let me tell you I felt good about doing this, unfortunately I was later forced to resign for a minor incident. Since then I have found new employment working in a friendly environment. To everyone out there that is experiencing bullying/mobbing there are better jobs; maybe you wont earn as much money but you'll be a dam site happier.

My own mom tried* to mob with my sisters against me. I never catch a break at home, work and school. What a life ...

Right, Claire, there's typically more than one workplace bully (flying monkeys) for mobbing to occur. One individual won't be successful enough to destroy a co-worker without having supporters join in on it. Also, if the bully is a lone wolf, others would become highly suspicious of what they're doing and complain about it. Having support from other workers provides a safety net for the primary bully, where they are believed to be trusted and shielded from any accountability.

Wow, this was so spot on and deep!
I never ever even looked at bullying like this.

I never ever thought that bullying is mobbing! This absoutely makes sense! Even in school or whatever. If you are bullied, then there is always others who see it and either enable it, or they join the bully and make you look bad.
This is so spot on, that it gave me goosebumps! This is a life lesson at it's best.

Sidenote: (Out of context question) I am interested in teaching English internationally one day. Any advice on what skills I need to hone up on before becoming an English teacher?

I want to get a master's degree which won't allow me to work independently but rather would open up opportunities within the system but I'm scared of what if I get bullied in the new workplaces then what's the point if i'll spend a lot of money on school. and I'm an INFJ which is a double whammy since we don't value authority social hierarchy and seniority. but i also don't want to be at my current job like a cog in a machine and i also ideally don't want to be isolated from everyone (including the good people). I just want to be me
