When you take the bait, and react emotionally or verbally, they have gotten what they want and know you are a good source of supply refill in the moment. When you have become the target of narcissist baiting, you want to avoid taking the bait, even though they will make it very difficult for you to avoid it. But how do you know if you are being baited? What does narcissist baiting look like? In this video I will discuss some common narcissist baiting techniques that you can look out for to better understand how narcissists bait you. Why do narcissists always want to argue? Because when they are arguing with you then you are no longer focused on them. When you are defensive based on the false accusations from the narcissist, then the conversation is about defending yourself. Why does the narcissist have to hurt you? Because it allows them to feel better about themselves. The narcissist baiting techniques and the narcissist baiting tactics are just another way in which the narcissist controls. And when you defend yourself, the narcissist knows that they have control over you. How do i stop listening to the narcissist, then? By not taking the bait. The narcissist isn’t trying to solve an issue or help you feel heard. They are starting a fight with you. W\hy does the narcissist always try to trick me when they don’t have to be deceptive? Because that is all the narcissist knows. If you are asking yourself why wont the narcissist leave me alone then you are likely being baited by the narcissist. And if you don’t take the bait the narcissist might use the silent treatment. Why do narcissists pick fights with you? Because it always has to be about you and why you are the problem so they can continue to blame shift and not take responsibility for their actions.
