I was just discussing this with my husband the other day. What I said was a male psychopath will go for strangers more often than the ones closest to them. That's why with men when the get caught for be a serial killer or something, their community and family will say things like "I don't believe he was like this! He was a good father, a good person, pillar of the community." Where as the female psychopath, no one is safe from them and they don't do anything themselves. They recruit others into their schemes or crimes. But they will still put forth a public image of perfection. Others see them as a good mom, wife, again pillar of the community.

I'm still struggling with the after-effects of a severely emotionally abusive ex. She sucked every dollar out of my life, and once she had rendered me useless due to mental illness she found another supply. All while I paid for her lifestyle. She repeatedly stole from her workplace and was eventually fired after being discovered and pretended to be the victim in the situation. Just an absolute narcisist/sociopath (quite possibly a psychopath)

Not only in an intimate context, but imagine having a friendship or working with one! Workplaces are an interesting context because all sorts of people are thrown into the mix together, quite unpredictably. And to have your job at stake ... I'm sure more than a few workplace dramas have occurred because of this. I personally haven't encountered one I think, although a former boss of mine was mildly narcissistic. Maybe not clinically, maybe he was just a really selfish person with a God complex.

Also its good to note bpd women and psycopathic women are nearly identical so if your girl was dianosed with bpd just be aware theres a very good chance she was misdianosed and has psycopathy instead
