Find your audience and grow over time. Just be better than other sellers... better pictures, better descriptions, SEO, and kill it with customer service. That's the recipe.

Good point on the packaging. Including something special in the package can help your reputation big time, and it can even help dealing with customer issues sometimes, like late shipping for example. I like include a little complimentary gift in my package along with a thank you note and a business card. You can tell how big of an impact it has when they leave a review talking about the whole experience.
