Shortly after the Battle of Endor, the Force called Luke Skywalker to the planet Pillio in the Core Worlds. Encountering a large Imperial military presence on the planet, he senses something unnatural and enters a cave, where he discovers Scritters - the native wildlife. And when he hears cries for help, he rushes to the rescue of Del Meeko, a member of the Imperial Special Forces Unit Inferno Squad, who is trapped in the amber of the Scritters.

With swift action, Skywalker cuts through the amber to free the soldier. When Meeko questions why the Jedi helped him, Skywalker’s response is simple but profound, “Because you asked.” Together, the two navigate their way to the Emperor’s observatory, and as they part ways, Skywalker imparts a powerful message. He believes that the Empire has caused enough harm to innocent worlds, and that Meeko has the power to choose to be a better person, not simply between the Empire and the Rebellion.

"Because you asked" is such an awesome Luke response that tells you everything you need to know about him (including his moral code)

Even Legends Luke would have freed the soldier and for the same reason.

This is the Luke Skywalker we deserve in the Sequel Trilogy

This is why I got sad after seeing the Last Jedi because this Luke wouldn’t have given up after Ben’s fall, he picked up himself up after his own dad cut off his hand 😢

I loved this mission for this one stormtrooper line, “what’s that?” (In a much higher pitch) “ A liGhTSaBEr”

This mission made me feel like a kid watching Star Wars for the first time again, and reminded me why I loved Luke. Which is leagues more than I can say for him in Disney Star Wars.

Meeko: "why would you, a jedi, help me?
Skywalker: "because you asked duhh"

I love that afterwards when he asks to keep the compass (everything was ordered to be destroyed) Miko asks “and why would I let you do that?” And luke just kindly responds “because I asked” and that was the end of the discussion 😂

Fun fact: in this game luke gets to have a space “compass” because Del lets him have it BUT in the Star Wars episode last Jedi you can see the compass in his house

“Let’s just say as a boy on corosaunt, it wasn’t the Jedi you should of been afraid of” -Luke

“Wouldn’t you say the Empire has done enough damage to innocent worlds?”

“Anyways, I’m gonna go kill my nephew because he gave me a bad vibe.”

That's why luke is one of the greatest jedi.he uses his words. He treats people humanely, isn't prone to immediate violence and aggression. He could've killed him, he could've let him rot when he needed help. He simply asked. Simplest solutions in life are sometimes the best choices
