Hux was an outstanding General. He had the Resistance beat in The Last Jedi. He was about to obliterate them once and for all but then that whining child, Kylo had to go and ruin it all by putting his personal vendetta with Luke over the entire mission.

Luke manages to completely stop Kylo Ren, not through violence but through peace. He manages to stop Kylo without harming anyone at all. That’s what a true Jedi does.
