Introduction to Inequality Proofs

I'm a high school mathematics and technology teacher from Sydney, Australia. My channel is all about learning - I love doing it, and I love helping others to do it too. I guess that's why I became an educator!

I post daily videos of explanations and examples from my regular classroom teaching. I have two goals: (1) to create a resource that can benefit students all over the world (currently more than 500 videos and over 65 hours of content) and (2) to critically examine my own practices so that I can improve as a teacher. Hi Mr Woo, will you be going over other inequalities such as Cauchy or olympiad inequalities (given that quite a lot of Ruse students do olympiad anyway)? And would use of olympiad inequalities (eg Chebyshev, Schur's, Muirhead, Holder's, power means etc) be allowed in the HSC?

Is this the same kind of question as a2 + b2 = 2ab? Cause that's what my school calls inequality proofs but these look different?

*the a and b are squared but my phone doesn't have a small 2

For what grade is this? I don’t know why I need to learn this by grade 8 😂
