Dr K is not evil but definitely did not go about the situation the best way. On the other hand if he explained the situation earlier it is likely Colin would not have believed him or given up on his escape plan and may have even stayed with Puro or hidden and passed away somewhere from the virus.

I don’t think Dr. K is evil; just one of those who believes in the “sacrifice the few for the many” philosophy.

The fact that dr.K is willing to give a choice to be transferred into a goo beast shows he is a good person. And if he didn’t want to give you a choice than he has a hole building filled with creatures, and objects that can turn you into a goo beast for him so he doesn’t have to do it himself. I just wish he explained the situation from the beginning and offer the same thing he took to keep his humanity, but then we wouldn’t have a game to play.
