I think Dr. K didn't offer the serum injection he took himself because he needed to make sure Colin has the virus or not first.He could have also just wanted to transfur Colin into a goo pet as well for his own personal reasons while also saving him❤

Perhaps because he wants to make you an obedient servant, as in the finale with Puro's death. However, after Puro defeats him, he has to change his mind so that you don't escape outside.

Theory 1)I think its because the cure is limited cause dr.k doesn't remember how he made it and becase of that he is afraid that there are more humans whitch he doesn't know about.
Theory 2)Dr.k doesn't think you deserve to get transfured safely...but at the best true ending he realizes that you do actually deserve to get transufured safely...OR becase you came that far he thinks that as well he should save you.😅😅😅😅

The best presumption I can think of simply comes from the question "Is he worth it?"
We can assume Dr. K only has a limited supply of the successful-transfur formula, considering the riot incident destroyed their research & supplies, so he wouldn't go around giving them out to any/all awakened infected/patients, even if they agreed to the transfur. He's questioning whether Colin deserves the chance to "continue living", or just perish (either from the virus or being transfurred).
Colin managed to make his way passed the goo creatures to the institute's exit, so that would impress Dr.K, as well as make him desperate to offer the serum as a last resort. You said it in one of your shorts, Dr.K is monitoring Colin, testing if he had a virus, as well as seeing his worth, which motivated him to try & continue his research for a cure.
