I’d say likely the modifications made to allow you to keep your consciousness which also requires to be administered over a slower time than the regular transfurrs may also prevent the ability to transfer others but also resisting the goo from other latex creatures.

Simple answer honestly: Dr K is made of flesh, bones, blood, etc. He isn’t a gooey or crystalline creature. Only gooey or crystalline creatures can infect (I think). Some various transfurs like the gas ones and (most) crystal ones are not made of goo, rather are solid flesh
and blood creatures. Some solid crystal creatures can still infect like the dragon king (I think dragon king is solid). Also, Colin loses his consciousness in every single transfur EXCEPT the good ending escape one

There's also a possibility that Dr K isn't a good creature like others. In the battle with Puro (when the second can't transfur Dr K) they said that it's keratin that prevents this from happening. Hair and fur consists of keratin, so maybe it's because of that...
