Thanks for watching the Pretty Intense Podcast. Today on the show is Stephanie Lyn. I have been following Stephanie's work on YouTube for a very long time. She talks a lot about narcissism, codependency, and red flags. Stephanie has over 500,000 followers on her Youtube account where she is prolific in relationship content. We touched on personality disorders and what develops them. What I wanted to learn was how do we avoid becoming a match for that dangerous person. This is a great deep dive, into the self. We talk about how critical it is to develop the relationship with yourself. Teaching yourself how to listen to your inner child, and really use that relationship as your number one relationship. We talked about relationships, sex, chemistry, and compatibility. We cover so much ground on the path to feeling whole in ourselves. We hope you enjoy the episode.

The challenge is what is the truth of the Fear. The truth is fear is a liar, fear steals your control. If you see it for what it is, it loses control and you can make better decisions.

So true. Everything changes as we grow and acknowledgement of the changes in one's self, and others is pivotal in the survival of that relationship's sanctity, one's mental health, and personal growth over time.
Spoken by 60+ who sees the errors of her ways.

It's not easy for me, but I try to live up to the quote; "You don't have to get it RIGHT, you just have to get it GOING."

I would hope that Stephanie also has sessions with couples together and not just apart. You need to see how a couple interacts with each other in addition to how they act separately. Just as in science, it's good to study potassium nitrate, sulpher, and charcoal separately to see their properties, but only seeing them interact with each other do you find that you have made ... gun powder.

Yes. From minus 2 months to about to 8 - 10 years, children obsorb virtually EVERYTHING from the parents. That includes all of the emotional crap the the parents are supposedly keeping from their children. "Staying together for the sake of the children" is the stupidest thing to do. So, if the two parents are NOT in a quality relationship, based on love and service, then this is what the children are learning.

Okay let me teach you how to do this. Once you learn that your higher self talks to you through your neurological system through your gut hence the term gut instinct you can let go of all fear and thoughts of what it is and all the crap that comes from society and know that your higher self is got your back. Once you understand that allow the waters to clear and there's no fear I used to fear walking out on the property in the summer because of the lizards without legs and while I don't talk about them to bring them into my experience I also no longer fear them and I can walk in peace knowing that if there is something to be concerned about my higher self will warn me and then I'll go out okay I need to turn the other direction. Once you learn to clear the Muddy Waters you play Red Light Green Light and you simply ask the question you don't put five items on the table and say oh what do I do God what do I do you put one item on the table. And you say I'm going to step forward I'm going to step forward I'm going to step forward. And you're either going to feel a sense of calm or you going to feel that achiness icky fluttery tightness whatever it is for you. Once you clear those Waters and then go into meditation the ideas on how to solve little issues and hacks in life it's absolutely astounding. Love you Danica I still want to go down to Joshua Tree in April but I don't think I'm going to make it. I hope you go

Listening with an open mind until the part where she starts rationalising divorce and that she just wanted her parents to be happy. I'm not sure if that was the point she was wanting to make, but the reality is that perspective alienates more people than would agree with it. For a number of children the understanding of what divorce actually means for their family is akin to their world ending and creates a cycle of trauma for them which if they are unfortunate enough to be raised in a dysfunctional environment will only be exacerbated by other past and future trauma. The way that concept was presented here implied that everyone lives in a functional little bubble where divorces are transactional at best (maybe in your society they are now), and that everyone can emerge unscathed alienates so many poor kids who didn't have the benefit of just wanting the parents to be happy.
Rationalisation of issues is nothing similar to logically resolving them. The former is largely emotive and myopic whilst the latter tends to be more objective. The consumers of this information deserve better than rationalisation.
